PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Module IMI220-423A001 is provided with 4 16-bit analog inputs with an -10000…+10000 mV operating range. All inputs are differential to ensure a high immunity to noise and 2 of them (inputs 1 and 2) can be used as current inputs with -20…+20 mA range. (connection between input B and input J); speed of inputs 1 and 2 is calculated by analog inputs task. Inputs 3 and 4, instead, have an integrated hardware derivator for automatic speed calculation; full scale heights are as follows:

±30000 mV/s for input 3;

±10000 mV/s for input 4.

Hardware filter on inputs is single-pole a low-pass with 800 Hz cut frequency (anti-aliasing filter); however there is also a software filter, single-pole, that limits maximum cut frequency equal to 80 Hz if task “Fast control” variable for analog inputs-encoder is TRUE; if “Fast control” is FALSE, cut frequency is equal to 30 Hz.

Voltages read in input are transformed in heights. Module IMI220-423A001 is also aimed to control 4 14-bit analog outputs, with an operating range within -10 VDC and +10 VDC. Analog outputs are independent and can be programmed as a simple DAC, PID controlled or axis controller; it is possible to filter output signal through a single-pole Butterwoth filter.

It is possible to define 2 interrupt heights for each input (a height for greater than or equal comparison and another for lower than or equal comparison): the operating system automatically returns the status of greater than or equal and lower than or equal markers for setup heights

Connection through: IMI220-423A001 (18 + 9-pole connectors 3.5 mm pitch).
